I Don’t Like Fruitcakes
It’s time to retire the fruitcake joke. It may have been funny at some point but that time has long passed.
Some jokes remain in circulation because they’re to our youth but become less funny as you get older. Fart jokes are a good example - always funny to kids and generally less funny as you age, yet a good fart joke will put an adult in stitches.
The fruitcake joke is not like fart jokes. The fruitcake joke is just a bad, tired joke that we should forget.
