Double Standards For The Win
Yesterday on the radio I heard a local church advertising for a bible study group. That’s all well and good. In their advertisements, though, they spent a good 45 seconds belittling science as a path to knowledge. Also fine - it’s their prerogative. I can’t help but wonder, though, if an atheist’s group or a group advocating scientific knowledge as a way to understanding concepts traditionally considered the purview of religion were to place a radio ad belittling religion and the Bible would they be given the same degree of freedom? Somehow I doubt that.
